The Cult is an engaging game designed for a group of 4 to 10 players. Each player will be discreetly assigned a role, belonging to either the village or the cult team.
The game consists of 5 rounds, during which a new leader will be chosen for each round. The leader will then select players to embark on a quest. These chosen players have the power to determine whether the quest will succeed or fail. In order for the village team to triumph, at least 3 quests must be completed successfully.
Members of the village team are obligated to vote in favor of successful quests, while members of the cult have the freedom to select their choice. Voting is done secretly, with only the quest outcome being revealed to all players.
Although it is optional, it is highly recommended to include at least one seer role in the game. The seer, who belongs to the village team, has the advantage of knowing which players are part of the cult. This valuable information can greatly assist in completing quests. However, at the end of the game, the cult may vote on who they believe the seer to be. If they successfully expose the seer's role, the cult emerges victorious.
